This holistic approach ensures that each patient’s journey toward recovery is guided by a network of compassionate professionals who understand the unique challenges survivors face.
The Sigrid & David Foundation’s success will be measured not only by the number of scholarships awarded and patients treated but by the positive transformation in survivors’ lives. To ensure an optimal use of the funds, the foundation may consider placing them in another foundation, such as a staff foundation, which has the skills and resources to help achieve the purpose.
The foundation will be able to conduct business activities and own subsidiaries. The care and support services will initially be financed through scholarships, but in the long term the foundation intends to cooperate with the county council.

Josefin David My background is a bachelor's degree in occupational therapy, a master's degree in international public health science and my entire professional life in neurology and neurosurgery. I have worked with investigations and mapping of cognitive function and rehabilitation after neurological damage. I have also worked as head of, among other things, the neurosurgical ward at Karolinska University Hospital as well as head of the covid lab during the pandemic at Karolinska University Hospital. My interest in international health and organization started in connection with Olof Palme's scholarships for studies abroad. For me, Uganda was the destination. After studies and experiences in large organizations and leading positions, I was met with the experience of rehabilitating myself due to the fact that I was abused in my relationship. SIGRID is an old Norse name that means VICTORY and PEACE. In other words, the foundation's name means - VICTORY and PEACE to those who have experienced violence, we are DAVID! I started the Sigrid and David Foundation to provide financial opportunities for those who have been subjected to violence, are in Sweden and need medical/psychiatric/dental treatment and rehabilitation.Sigrid & David Foundation Board And Advicory Members
